Hier üben Hitlerjungen mit Segelfliegern bei „Gleitflugübungen der HJ Luftsportscharen der Ortsgruppe Lahr des Deutschen Luftsportverbandes auf dem Dinglinger Flugplatz am 16. Januar 1937“, wie der Starttitel informiert. Die HJ-Gruppe zieht die Gleiter per Hand in die Höhe, damit der Pilot ein paar hundert Meter schweben und dann sanft auf einem Feld landen kann. Anschließend muss der Segelgleiter wieder den Hügel hoch geschleppt werden. Die Flugschüler mussten mindestens 14 Jahre alt sein und ein halbes Jahr als Hitlerjunge bei der Halte- und Startmannschaft mitgearbeitet haben. Beim ersten Versuch hebt die Flieger allerdings nicht ab, er bleibt am Boden. Der Film vermittelt sehr gut, wie personalintensiv dieser Sport ist. Nach verschiedenen Start- und Flugversuchen ist eine Gruppe älterer Männer zu sehen, die den Jungen diesen Sport ermöglichen. Ein Pilot studiert intensiv das Kartenmaterial. Sollen sie bei diesem Ausflug schon mal mit dem deutsch-französischen Grenzgebiet vertraut gemacht werden? Noch einmal eine Gruppenaufnahme mit entspannten Gesichtern. Man erzählt sich Witze und scherzt. Dann eine halbnahe Aufnahme eines Jungen mit Mütze, der sich wegdrehen will und von einem Arm wieder vor die Kamera geschoben wird. Ein Schwenk zeigt noch einmal die gesamte Gruppe, Technik und die Flugzeuge. Eine Gruppe von Jugendlichen kommt ins Bild, mit kurzen Hosen stellen sie sich dem Wind entgegen. Ein Pilot bekommt einen Fallschirm, was den Einstieg nicht einfach macht. Der Oberbürgermeister verabschiedet sich. Zum Schluß ist noch einmal Flugbetrieb zu sehen, die Flugzeuge sind in der Luft. As a consequence, flight enthusiasts developed gliders and gliders that were not covered by this ban. This developed into a sport in which the Germans became very successful. The second part of the film documents the "Visit to Aviation Training Center Freiburg Luftgaureserve 15 April 1937", according to a plaque. Hitler boys no longer act here, but seasoned men.
